Lexus TX 3-row SUV teased

Something big is about to enter the Lexus showroom.

On Tuesday, Lexus teased its three-row crossover SUV TX, confirming it is “coming soon.”

The automaker didn’t provide any other information about the TX.

2021, Lexus New 3-row crossover SUV unveiled joins the line-up and will be manufactured in Princeton, Indiana. The crossover SUV becomes TX, 2024 Toyota Grand Highlanderbased on the Princeton production line.

The TX is a reskinned Grand Highlander, itself a long wheelbase version with three rows of seats. toyota highlanderExpect three rows of seating, an available second row of captain’s chairs, and a leather interior. A digital gauge cluster and a large touchscreen infotainment system dominate the dashboard, though it’s unclear if the touchscreen will be a 12.3-inch or 14.0-inch display.

Based on an enhanced version of Toyota’s TNGA-K front-wheel drive platform, the TX could have front- or all-wheel drive options. Powertrain options are expected to mimic those of the Grand Highlander. That means choosing a 2.4-liter Turbo 4, a hybrid 2.5-liter Inline 4, or a hybrid Max with 362 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. A plug-in hybrid model is expected to join the line-up soon.

Buyers who want a design as wild as Lexus LF-1 Limitless Concept The 2018 Detroit Auto Show can be overwhelming. Its flagship concept’s wild lighting elements and roofline are nowhere to be seen in the teaser images, and the TX drapes Lexus-specific sheet metal, as evidenced by the D-pillar design, taillights, and rear doors. And then the Grand Highlander appears to trim his points hard.

The Lexus TX was revealed in June and is expected to arrive in dealers later this year.
