Chrysler hasn’t released a new car in a while, but at CES 2023 it showed a new interior concept that could be featured in future Chrysler offerings. The main focus of the dashboard are two huge 37.2-inch screens. One is in front of the driver and the other spans the other half of the cockpit in front of the passenger. These have embedded software that Chrysler calls his STLA Smart Cockpit. This includes a virtual assistant, different viewing modes, and over-the-air updates.

The infotainment system is also optimized for a planned Level 3 autonomous driving system called STLA AutoDrive, which Chrysler says will offer hands-free driving in future vehicles. In autonomous mode, the infotainment screen allows the driver to use video conferencing software and other features. This is because the system differs from the current Level 2 system, which: GM’s Super Cruise In that the driver can take his eyes off the road when certain conditions are met.

Design-wise, this interior concept incorporates interesting textures in the dash top, seat holes and walnut floors. There is no chrome trim, and plastics and other materials have been recycled and “responsibly sourced,” says Chrysler. The interior is presented in an interesting pod-like structure with the rear part looking almost like a boat.

We expect this internal component to appear inside the final production version chrysler airflow concept car. The electric SUV model is a strong contender for Chrysler’s first new EV model due to debut in 2025, with the automaker saying it will offer a broader EV lineup through 2028. The latest tech offerings and other brands such as Dodge, Jeep and Ram will also eventually have features such as his STLA Smart Cockpit and STLA AutoDrive.
