AVTOTOR plans to start production of new brand vehicles in the first quarter of 2023

fin market.- Russian car manufacturer Avatar Alexander Sorokin, general director of Avtotor Holding LLC, told Interfax that the company will start producing a new brand of vehicles with internal combustion engines in the first quarter of 2023.

“In the first quarter of 2023, we will be able to bring new branded cars to the country’s market. These will be two or three models that are in demand on the market. But so far it has not named the car brand or category. ’ said Sorokin.

Avtotor founder Vladimir Shcherbakov reported in September:Work was completed in early October, and full-scale production began for readjustment. October will be spent readjusting production and creating new conditions for the development of Russia as a whole and domestic production.“

Sorokin also said Avtotor has not abandoned plans to produce the first batch of electric vehicles with Rosatom batteries in 2023.

“Plans to produce the first batch of 200 electric vehicles in 2023 have been confirmed. They are powered by Rosatom batteries. They have already manufactured the first modules and handed them over to us for testing.’ said Sorokin.

According to him, in general, the company’s work in preparing for the large-scale production of electric vehicles is proceeding deliberately and systematically in various areas. A research center is working on this topic and a new production infrastructure is being created. The final phase of construction will see the construction of several new buildings for the production line and all the services that come with it.

As reported, in 2022 the company plans to complete the construction of eight factories for new e-mobility projects and will invest 5.7 billion rubles.

In September Shcherbakov said:Start production of electric vehicles. This is not a full development of designers, engineers and technicians, but they were directly involved in developing the design.“
