ZEEKR Launches ZEEKR 009 ME with CATL’s Qilin Battery Technology

Shanghai (Gasgou)- Geely Automobile’s premium electric vehicle (EV) brand, ZEEKR, announced last Sunday through its WeChat account that CATL’s third-generation CTP (cell-to-pack) technology, inside.

The ZEEKR 009 ME is powered by CATL’s Qilin battery with a capacity of 140kWh. It has a CLTC rated range of up to 822km.

Kirin’s battery is built on CATL’s 3rd generation CTP technology. With a record-breaking volumetric efficiency of 72% and an energy density of up to 255 Wh/kg, CATL has achieved a world-class level of system integration capable of providing a range of over 1,000 km . Moreover, by adopting pioneering large-area cell cooling technology, Qilin supports his 5-minute hot start and 10-minute fast charging.

Equipped with dual-chamber air springs provided by KH Automotive Technologies, the ZEEKR 009 ME is the first MPV model in the world to use this kind of air suspension.

The ZEEKR 009 MPV, which hits the market on November 1, 2022, will come in two trim levels, WE and ME, priced at CNY 499,000 and CNY 588,000 respectively. Deliveries of the ZEEKR 009 WE started in mid-January. this year.
