Russian car market down 60% in September 2022

Rus Auto News. – as announced by[{” attribute=””>AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee, the Russian car market has decreased by 59.6%, or by 68,901 units year-on-year in September 2022, and amounted to 46,698 vehicles.

Within the January-September period of this year 506,661 cars were sold in total, 59.8% less than last year’s figure. Among them 52,878 LCVs, 242,723 SUVs, 3, 903 pick-ups and 333 units electric vehicles.

Lada is the most popular brand of the market in September with 20,641 units sold. The sales of the brand has grown 20% year-on-year in September. Second spot is occupied by the Korean brand Hyundai with 3,888 units and with 71% less sales than last year’s figure. GAZ LCV has the third place in the ranking with 3,817 units sold, with 27% year-on-year fall.

Lada Granta was the most popular model in September with 13,421 units sold.
