Nissan production, sales and export results for May 2023

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced production, sales and export results for May 2023.

1. Production

Global production in May was 18.5% higher than the same month last year.

• Domestic production exceeded the results of the previous year by 99.2%, and overseas production by 7.9%.

2. Sales

Global sales in May surpassed the same month last year by 18.9%.

• • Domestic sales, including light vehicles, increased by 21.2% year-on-year.
    • The number of registered vehicles sold in Japan exceeded the previous year’s result by 29.8%.
    • Domestic mini vehicle sales increased by 8.8% year-on-year.
  • Overseas sales increased by 18.6% year-on-year.

3. Export from Japan

Exports from Japan in May exceeded the results for the same month of the previous year by 269.3%.
