Never forget to buckle up with Ford’s vibrating seatbelt patent

First, the D-rings are not always properly connected to the buckle. We were all in a hurry and shoved the D-rings into the clips without checking to see if they were properly secured. Pull once or twice. A connection might be good enough to turn off a warning tone or light, but it’s useless in an accident.

Second, it helps drivers and passengers find buckles in the dark. Sure, cars have interior lights, but often the light doesn’t get through to the space between the seat and the armrest where the buckles are located.

No timeline is attached to this patent, but it appears to be relatively easy to implement. This is definitely a patent. not completely ridiculous But it will probably be in production.
