Sierra EV has more power than Silverado EV.
Sierra EV does not have WTF or WOW modes. It has a maximum power mode that allows the electric motor to put out up to 754 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque. That’s more than the Silverado EV’s meager 664 hp and 780 lb-ft. Accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 4.5 seconds.
Sierra EV features Super Cruise hands-free driving, four-wheel steering, one-pedal driving and on-demand regenerative braking. Unlike the Silverado EV, the Sierra EV can crab-walk like the Hummer EV SUT.
GMC Sierra EV can also be used as a home power source
GMC says the Sierra Denali EV will get an estimated range of up to 400 miles. It uses an 800-volt architecture that provides fast charging at rates of up to 350 kW. According to GMC, the Sierra EV gives him 100 miles of range on a 10-minute quick charge. Its onboard Power Station Pro can deliver up to 10.2 kW of power to your home, more than the F-150 Lightning.
The Sierra EV has a Chevy Avalanche style midgate.
The Sierra EV only has a 5’11” bed. However, with what GMC calls his MultiPro midgate, it can extend up to 9 feet. This works in tandem with his 60/40 fold-down second row seats, which can be used with the available tonneau cover to create lockable weatherproof storage. The Sierra EV will also have a flank that GMC calls the eTrunk. The Sierra EV can tow up to 9,500 pounds and carry a payload of up to 1,300 pounds.
Are there any notable interior features in the Sierra EV?
yes. The Sierra Denali EV features a panoramic fixed glass roof with UV light filtering. Also, the center console has a huge 16.8-inch touchscreen with some physical controls built in. And since it’s a Sierra Denali, you get fancy leather and open-pore wood.
How much does the Sierra EV cost? When will it arrive?
The Sierra Denali EV Edition 1 starts at $107,000 plus $1,695 for shipping and freight. We are accepting reservations for the first batch.
GMC has yet to provide full details of the rest of the trim lineup. But perhaps in 2025, his AT4 trim for off-road and GMC’s expected elevation trim will start at around $50,000 for him. This puts the Sierra EV on par with the Ford F-150 Lightning Pro trim. Now from $51,974.
