Shanghai (Gasgou)- Chinese new energy vehicle startup Li Auto unveiled an 800-volt ultra-fast charging system at the Shanghai Motor Show 2023.

The 800 Volt super fast charging solution adopts 3rd generation power semiconductor technology, with 4C charging compatible battery, wide temperature range thermal management system and 4C super fast charging network. This solution can charge a range of 400 km in just 10 minutes.

Li Auto plans to continuously improve its ultra-fast charging network over the next three years, with the goal of reaching a maximum output power of 480 kW for 4C ultra-fast charging stations.

By the end of this year, the company aims to complete the construction of over 300 super-fast charging stations along highways in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Greater Bay Area and Chengdu-Chongqing regions. By 2025, Li Auto aims to install his 3,000 super-fast charging stations, covering 90% of China’s highways and major cities.

Li Auto’s first 25 ultra-fast charging stations will begin trial operation by the end of May, with three fast-charging piles and one 4C ultra-fast charging pile at each station.

Notably, Li Auto also announced its product plans through 2025. This includes completing a product portfolio of “one flagship model, five long-distance electric vehicle models and five high-voltage pure electric vehicle models” targeting the market of more than 200,000 yuan. The company’s first fully electric vehicle will be the first to use his 4C Kirin battery from Chinese battery maker CATL.
