This week we headed to Utah for some off-roading and towing in our new Jeep Wrangler and to our homeland of Detroit to be impressed with the battery-electric version of the Chevrolet Silverado. That said, it’s not cheap. We also have seat time for his more traditional and more affordable 2024 model.
This is what impressed us.
With more grades than ever before and deep into 4xe plug-in hybrid territory offset by the monster Rubicon 392, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler casts a wider net as it climbs to the top of off-road.
Chevrolet’s electric full-size truck takes on the heavy lifting of changing minds and hearts, but with a starting price of $75,000, it’s tough.
The Mazda CX-90 will be the brand’s largest SUV and most exclusive model, with optional plug-in hybrid power and seating for up to eight passengers. It has a TCC rating of 6.8 out of 10.
The 2024 Honda CR-V and 2023 Nissan Rogue offer a very popular compact crossover utility. However, neither has managed to overtake the best-selling class champion, the Toyota RAV4.
The redesigned small crossover has standard all-wheel drive, but no hybrid options. It’s been further refined and maintained its safety-focused values, with the Sport grade adding a rally-car-like pop at speed.
Available in a variety of versions with two power options, the 2024 Subaru Outback is a solid choice for a five-passenger crossover SUV.
The 2024 Chevrolet Camaro is a great performer on every conceivable track, but it’s set to enter retirement soon. The Chevrolet muscle car earned him a 5.2 out of 10 on the TCC rating.
The compact crossover SUV has become the new family car paradigm. They are convenient, flexible, (usually) economical, and serve many buyers, not just 2 or 3 car combinations.
