Shanghai (Gasgou)- On Nov. 28, Chinese NEV startup Aiways entered into a strategic partnership with Bangkok-based Phoenix EV to supply new energy vehicles (NEVs) to Phoenix EV, the company said through its WeChat account. Announced.

Under this agreement, Aiways will provide Phoenix EV with a total of 150,000 NEVs over the next five years.

Aiways is accelerating the execution of its global strategy. In September this year, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Singapore’s leading service agency, his Verge Auto, marking a major effort to build a retail sales and service network in the Southeast Asian market.

Prior to partnering with Vergo Auto, Aiways had operations in several European countries including Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, Croatia, Faroe Islands, Iceland and Slovenia.

As announced, Aiways will export 1,676 electric vehicles in 2021, reflecting a surge of 62.9% year-on-year. To date, he has a total of 155 distributors in his 20 countries outside of China.

Earlier this month, Aiways saw the 10,000th NEV leave the production line at its factory in Shangrao, Jiangxi. A key model was the Aiways U5 SUV, which was granted the European Whole Vehicle Type-Approval (WVTA) certificate.
