This special edition model of the Volkswagen W580X pickup truck picks up the game from where the W580S was interrupted. Whereas the W580S was an on-road focused pickup truck, the new W580X is ready to perform off-road operations.

Being a high-end special edition off-road vehicle, the pickups are equipped with a lot of equipment. It gets a bi-xenon headlight with integrated LED daytime running lights. To make off-road safer, the pickup also gets additional undercarriage protection and LED light bars. Among other things, it includes a redesigned front grille, black bumpers and mirrors.

The cabin is equipped with dual-zone automatic temperature control, heated front seats, rubber floor mats and tire pressure monitoring system. The cabin is decorated with velor.

The special edition VW pickup truck gets an updated suspension lift kit that guarantees an additional ground clearance. A snorkel is included as an optional kit. Other accessories include upgraded twin-tube dampers and 18-inch forged wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires underneath the larger wheel arch.

The Volkswagen Amarok W580X is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 TDI diesel engine. Combined with an 8-speed automatic gearbox that powers all four wheels. The engine can generate 255hp of output and 580Nm of torque.

The pickup truck segment is dominated by US car giant Ford, which primarily has ranger-based models, but Volkswagen is expected to feature the game in the next generation of Amarok to compete with them.
