dubai [UAE]: Flying car! Dubai recently witnessed this futuristic technology when the Chinese manufacturer made its first public flight in the United Arab Emirates. Chinese tech and electric car maker Xpeng tested the world’s first flying electric taxi on Monday, according to the Khaleej Times. To make people’s lives easier, the company gave us a glimpse into the future of cars. After taking off from Skydive Dubai, the X2 flying car completed a test flight, ushering in a whole new thrilling era of short-haul travel and intelligent mobility solutions. The Khaleej Times reports that the autonomous two-seater flying car has a maximum takeoff weight of 760 kg, a dead weight of 560 kg and a maximum flight speed of 130 km/h. It has a flight time of 35 minutes, is made of premium carbon fiber and has a fuselage parachute. This car can carry her two passengers at once.

Well, this isn’t the first flying car ever made. A futuristic electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle with autonomous flight capabilities and an intelligent flight control system. According to Khaleej Times, flying cars could become commercially available in the next two to three years. His Omar Abdulaziz AlKhan, Executive Director of the International Office of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, is quoted in the publication as saying: Then it will be commercialized,” he said, adding that in his opinion it could be used commercially in Dubai within the next two to three years.
