The 2022 Mazda CX-5 will be priced at $ 27,125

Mazda US bestseller CX-5 Crossover has received a series of updates for the 2022 model. One of the biggest changes is that Mazda has added i-Active all-wheel drive as standard to the entire lineup. In 2021, it cost $ 1,400 to turn both axles. The car manufacturer has also changed the trim step. The old lineup has become an entry-level sport, followed by touring, touring preferred SV packages, carbon editions, carbon edition turbos, grand touring, grand touring premium packages and grand touring reserves. There are still eight variations, but their names are 2.5 S, 2.5 S Select, 2.5 S Preferred, 2.5 S Carbon Edition, 2.5 S Premium, 2.5 S Premium Plus, 2.5 Turbo, and 2.5 Turbo Signature.

It’s more than a new name. The naturally aspirated 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine is the only engine available in the first six trims, and the package defines five trim steps after the base S. Please note that Carbon Edition cannot be used with 2.5 liters with a turbocharger. And the Grand Touring Trim will be replaced with Premium and Turbo Trim. In 2021, only Carbon Edition and Grand Touring Reserve were available on the turbo mill. In 2022, only the top two turbo trims will have that engine. The NA version gets 186 horsepower and 187 lb-foot torque. The turbo version produces 227hp and 310lb-ft with 87 octane regular gas and 256hp and 320lb-ft with 93 octane.

The first three trims are cheaper than 2021, but we know that some of the price changes are due to Mazda raising destination prices from $ 1,100 to $ 1,225 next year. This isn’t really a one-on-one comparison that goes beyond the Carbon Edition trim, but the price of the 2022 CX-5 after the destination and the changes from 2021 compared to the AWD version are: ..
