Two Success Stories

The Superb and Kodiaq are Škoda’s top hatchback/combi estate and SUV models, respectively, and both have enjoyed impressive success. The name “Superb” was used in the 1930s for Skoda’s top luxury cars. With around 137,000 first-generation Superb sold between 2001 and 2008, it was the first Skoda model to introduce high-tech features such as bi-xenon headlights, automatic Tiptronic transmission and Coming Home function. Since its launch, the first-generation Superb has won numerous prestigious awards, including “Best Import Car” from the German automobile magazine “Auto Bild”. The second generation came in his 2008, offering customers an all-wheel drive option for the first time. His Superb Combi estate version, introduced in 2009, caused even greater demand. In total, his 2nd generation Superb has recorded his 618,000 deliveries to customers. Introduced in February 2015, the third generation offers more room for passengers and luggage in both body styles. It has also added an innovative assistance system to make it more economical, emit less emissions and increase safety. The flagship has been updated again for his 2019, with the Superb iV variant becoming the first Škoda plug-in his hybrid model. To date, over 777,000 third-generation Superb units have been delivered to customers.

Launched in 2016 and heralding Skoda’s successful SUV campaign, the Kodiak has already sold more than 740,000 units. Available with seven seats as an option, it introduces Škoda’s exciting and transparent design language to the SUV segment. The sporty Kodiak RS follows his 2018 and the entire model range has been updated for 2021. More than 40 international awards are visible evidence of the outstanding quality and extraordinary popularity of large Skoda SUVs.
