Porsche brings Pixar’s Sally Carrera to life

Porsche has partnered with Pixar Animation Studios to create a unique example of Sally Carrera, one of the main characters in the film. car..

In the movie, Sally Carrera is based on the 2002 Porsche 911, and to commemorate the car’s 20th anniversary, Porsche will celebrate with a one-off Porsche. It was sold at auction to provide long-term support to children through Girls Inc. and in the United States for UNHCR, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, in the light of recent global events. Will be sold.

This unique vehicle will be completely street legal, based on the Porsche 911. Take inspiration directly from your character and take advantage of many custom parts. In preliminary design sketches (more like graffiti than blueprints), the vehicle requires special wheels, badges, and “sally blue” lacquer. In the rear sketch, you can see “Tattoos on the wings!”, And it seems that custom coloring is placed under the wings to emulate the on-screen appearance of Sally. The interior is dominated by white material with blue accents throughout the seats, dashboard and center console.

A small team at Pixar Animation Studios ( car Production designer Bob Pauly and creative director Jayward) are responsible for this, along with the German style Porsche and Porsche Exclusive Manufacture. This was originally “what if”. The project, and since then, has become a very realistic opportunity for brands to unite.

“We wanted to help for some reason, but as a team, we realized that we could use what we’re working on to raise money,” Ward said. “The whole project started with the premise that Sally’s character is dedicated to helping others. This should last 20 years.”

Sally was a lawyer for Radiator Springs, the main location in the film, leaving the fast-paced California lifestyle and starting anew in a small town. One of her goals is to bring the empathic nature of the artifact, the radiator spring, back to the map. In her film, she goes out of her way to help others and make a difference. Therefore, she is a Porsche and Pixar charity.

Car advances were unveiled by Ward and Pauley at the 2022 South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas. Details of the car, such as when and where it will be auctioned, will be confirmed later this year. Porsche brings Pixar’s Sally Carrera to life
