Maniturin acquires British Columbia courier service

Manitoulin Group, a Canadian transportation and logistics company, has acquired First Canadian Messenger, a British Columbia carrier, Diamond Delivery and Courier, to increase its presence in western Canada.

Based in Sally, Diamond Delivery offers truck loading, LTL, temperature control, flatbeds, parcels and cross-border warehousing services. First Canadian Message offers same-day and evening courier services in Lower Mainland, British Columbia, including Vancouver.

“We look forward to working with Diamond Delivery to increase each cargo volume in the BC market,” Jeff King, president of Maniturin Transport, Maniturin’s trucking business, said in a statement.

Privately owned Manitoulin is one of Canada’s largest transportation and logistics companies with operations nationwide.
