AF Corse Ferrari driver Lawson was able to jump to pole-sitter Whitman in the pits and withstand the advance of the two champions.
At the start of the race, Whitman made a clean escape from the pole position of the only Walkenhorst BMW, and Lawson came in second ahead of Sheldon van der Linde’s Low Racing BMW.
After building a one-second lead over Lawson, Whitman made his first chance to pit on lap 5, with several other drivers chasing him to minimize the risk of the appearance of a safety car. ..
Lawson himself made a pit stop after one lap and returned to a course far away from Whitman, surpassing his rivals a total of 2.5 seconds during the lap and at the pit stop itself.
From there, Lawson and Whitman fought a duel, continuing to the final lap of the race, with the gap between the duos fluctuating between only three-tenths and 1.5 seconds.
By lap 18, Whitman had successfully smashed Lawson’s front and was in the immediate vicinity, but Kiwi responded to the pace of the BMW driver and returned the gap to one second.
Whitman’s next chance arrived on lap 27, approaching Nico Mueller’s Audi, who hadn’t stopped yet, but Lawson was able to clear the Swiss driver on Turn 3, but Whitman himself was next. I had to wait until the tour started. I take action.

The two DTM champions launched their final attack at the dying stage of the race and got a better exit from the final corner, but Lawson was able to maintain the victory in just 0.215 seconds in the drag race to the finish line. It’s done.
HRT Mercedes driver Maximilian Gotz couldn’t challenge the victory as Lawson and Whitman finished 15 seconds behind the duo in 3rd place, but the title was won by winning the podium for the fifth time in eight races. I keep the hunt firmly.
Winward Mercedes drivers Philip Ellis and Lucas Auer finished in 4th and 5th respectively, with the latter scoring solid points in the home race.
Abt Sportsline driver Van der Linde couldn’t make a big step forward from the top 10 sub-regions on a track that highlights Audi’s weaknesses, but a penalty for Mercedes drivers Vincent Abril and Daniel Juncadella. He was promoted to a good 6th place.
South Africa is the only driver to score points from Ingolstadt-based Mark, with the second-highest runner Nico Mueller on Team Rosberg after a late pit stop on lap 31 on lap 38. Finished in 14th place.
Abril and Juncadella were involved in the fight against Auer in 5th place, but fell to 8th and 12th place respectively due to a time penalty for exceeding the track limit. Mercedes denied the unusual feat that all seven cars scored points.
Arjun Maini moved up to 7th place in the GetSpeed AMG GT3 and the Maximilian Book was ranked 9th in Macke’s entry as Abril and Juncadella were penalized.
Timo Glock concludes the only surviving Low Racing BMW point scorer.
Alex Albon was forced to make an unplanned pit visit as he was fighting Glock for a place in the top 10 when he was hit by a puncture in the front left on the outlap. It dropped him firmly behind the field when he finished in 17th place.
Sheldon van der Linde was also hit by a flat tire early in the race and Rowe voluntarily retired from the car.
