HOZON Auto and BOE Varitronix Deepen Cooperation in Intelligent Cockpit Field

Shanghai (Gasgou)- Chinese startup HOZON Auto, which owns the new energy vehicle brand NETA, and BOE Varitronix Limited (“BOEVx”) signed an agreement on August 1 to strategically cooperate and jointly develop related solutions in the field of intelligent automotive cockpits did.

According to a press release from HOZON Auto, the NETA S, a mass-produced model jointly developed by the two companies, went on sale on July 31st. Drivers can receive important information from a minimalist display behind the steering wheel or from an AR head-up display. In particular, the big screen is jointly developed by HOZON Auto and BOE.

Since 2018, HOZON Auto and BOEVx have established a stable partnership in automotive instrument panels, console mounted screens and other areas related to smart cockpits. The latest move marks a further intensification of cooperation between the two companies in the area of ​​intelligent cockpits.

BOEVx is a Hong Kong-listed supplier of automotive display products. In 2016, China’s leading display manufacturer BOE Group became a major shareholder of his BOEVx.

Last month, HOZON Auto delivered 14,037 vehicles, of which 1,382 were sold to overseas markets, surpassing other Chinese NEV startups. The cumulative sales volume by the end of July 2022 is 173,145 units.
