Marquez follows Banyaia in a contest that was finally won by a young Ducati pilot.

Today’s Aragon MotoGP race has evolved into a spectacular battle between Pecobanyaia (Ducati) and Marc Marquez (Honda). Banyaia led from the beginning with Marquez casting a shadow over him and the pair setting a fierce pace that no other rider could match. With three laps remaining, Marquez began attacking Banyaia repeatedly, passing only a few times, and Banyaia immediately re-passed Marquez at the corner exit. Overtaking Marquez, Banyaia won his first MotoGP victory. The race is remembered as one of the classic conflicts between five-time MotoGP champion Marquez and young star Banyaia.

Joan Mir (Suzuki) finished in 3rd place, about 4 seconds behind the lead. Maverick Viñales made his debut in Aprilia in 18th place.
